premiere Memento Istanbul: Hristoff Family Archive Exhibition, Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts
 
The performance was preperad based on the exhibition "Memento Istanbul - Hristoff Family Archive" at Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts. The three dancers, who have experienced different dimensions of being from Istanbul in their own lives, dialog with the exhibition, which focuses on the connection of a family of three generations of artists of Bulgarian origin with Istanbul, through "being from Istanbul". They try to understand "being from Istanbul". They ask how bodies are affected by the nature of memory that stores, preserves, forgets and remembers: What do bodies do with what is disappearing, what is lost? The artists dimension the design of the exhibition, the organization of the space and the themes that emerge throughout the exhibition with the vitality of performance and movement. The performance, which will take place in the exhibition space, invites the audience to look at the exhibition through the window opened by the relationship between memory and the body.
